The San Diego Padres and Miami Marlins are vying for the services of free-agent right-hander Johnny Cueto, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.
The Cincinnati Reds have also expressed an interest in the veteran starter.
The 37-year-old spent the 2022 season with the Chicago White Sox recording a 3.35 ERA through 158.1 innings after signing a one-year, $4.2 million deal.
Back on Dec. 14, Sportsnet's Ben Nicholson-Smith reported that the Toronto Blue Jays had shown recent interest in Cueto.
