Patrick Sandoval is looking to make a comeback in Beantown.
The six-foot-three lefty has agreed to a two-year $18.25 million contract with the Boston Red Sox, Jeff Passan of ESPN reported on Friday.
Sandoval, 28, underwent Tommy John surgery in late June and became a free agent after he was non-tendered by the Los Angeles Angels on Nov. 22. His rehabilitation timeline has him on track to return in the second half of the 2025 season.
The Mission Viejo, Calif. native posted a 5.08 ERA and 1.51 WHIP with 81 strikeouts and 35 walks over 79.2 innings in 2024 with the Angles.
Sandoval will look to return to his form from the previous three seasons, where he had a 3.53 ERA and and 1.38 WHIP.
