A former Toronto Blue Jays outfielder is hitting the open market.
Randal Grichuk has declined a $6-million mutual option with the Arizona Diamondbacks and will become a free agent, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reported Thursday.
Grichuk will get a $500,000 buyout, Feinsand said.
Grichuk, 33, played on a one-year, $1.5-million deal with the option for the second year after signing with Arizona before the 2024 season.
Grichuk hit .291 with 12 homers and 46 RBIs in 254 at-bats.
The Texan entered the big leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2014. He also has played for the Blue Jays (2018-21), Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels.
