Report: Twins to place Kepler, three others on restricted list ahead of Blue Jays series

Minnesota Twins senior VP and general manager Thad Levine joins Blair & Barker to discuss how playoff-quality clubs like the Toronto Blue Jays and Twins must manage their rosters in order to win games while still remaining postseason ready.

The Minnesota Twins are placing outfielder Max Kepler and relievers Caleb Thielbar, Emilio Pagan and Trevor Megill on the restricted list ahead of the team's series vs. Toronto Blue Jays, MLB.com reports. None of the players travelled to Toronto.

Kepler, 29, is batting .253/.357/.429 with six home runs and 25 RBI in 47 games for the Twins this season.

Thielbar, Pagan and Megill's absences temporarily thin out the Twins bullpen, although corresponding call-ups will be announced later.
