The Houston Astros and Chicago White Sox have agreed to a trade sending right-handed relief pitcher Kendall Graveman to the Astros in exchange for catcher Korey Lee.
Graveman, 32, has a 3.48 ERA and eight saves over 44 innings with the White Sox in 2023. The nine-year MLB veteran spent the back half of 2021 in the Astros' bullpen after a mid-season trade.
An eighth-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays, Graveman has spent time in the majors with the Blue Jays, Oakland Athletics, Seattle Mariners, Astros and White Sox.
The move comes shortly after Chicago sent pitchers Lance Lynn and Joe Kelly to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Lee, 25, debuted with Houston in the 2022 season, appearing in 12 games. He has spent 2023 at triple-A, where he is hitting .283 with five home runs.
