The New York Yankees agreed to a two-year, $11.5 million deal with right-handed reliever Tommy Kahnle on Tuesday, per the New York Post's Jon Heyman.
Kahnle spent 2022 with the Los Angeles Dodgers, posting a 2.84 ERA in 12.2 innings after missing most of the season with a forearm injury. He also struck out 30.4 per cent of batters faced and picked up one save.
By signing with the Yankees, the 33-year-old will return to New York, where he played from 2017-20.
During his four seasons in the Bronx, Kahnle threw 112.1 innings with a 4.01 ERA and 157 strikeouts.
Heyman also reported that the Yankees outbid an AL East rival, the Boston Red Sox, to land the reliever.
