Cavan Biggio is heading to Kansas City.
Biggio signed a minor-league contract with the Kansas City Royals on Sunday, the team announced.
The left-handed-hitting utility player was designated for assignment by the Toronto Blue Jays in June 2024 and subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers later released Biggio in order to make room in the lineup for Freddie Freeman. Biggio then signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants before he was traded to the Atlanta Braves.
In 74 games in the majors last season with the Blue Jays, Dodgers and Braves, the 29-year-old slashed .197/.316/.306 with five home runs and 72 strikeouts.
