George Springer will make his return to the leadoff spot and Bo Bichette will hit cleanup as the Blue Jays look to land a second-straight win on the red-hot Astros on Wednesday evening.
After a slow start to the season offensively, Springer has begun turning things around at the plate in recent weeks, collecting 12 hits during his last nine games and bumping his batting average up to .215, despite heading to Fenway Park last week slashing .188.
Now firmly back into the lineup after a brief stint on the Injured List in mid-June, Bichette will look to turn what has been up to this point a disappointing season around from the four spot with Vladimer Gurrero Jr. batting ahead of him.
Brian Serven, called up from Buffalo to fill in for Danny Jansen, who is on paternity leave, will start behind the dish and backstop Yusei Kikuchi. It will be Serven's first appearance with the Jays since April 13.
