There might not have been a team having more fun on Sunday night in Williamsport, Pa. than the Canadian Little League champs.
As New York Yankees star Juan Soto took his at-bat in the sixth inning of the Little League Classic, Team Canada had the perfect view to join in on the famous "Soto Shuffle."
Soto ended up working a five-pitch walk from Detroit Tigers starter Tarik Skubal, with each take drawing a bigger reaction from the Whalley Little Leaguers — from Surrey, B.C. — seated in the first row behind the left-handed slugger.
After taking ball three, cameras perfectly caught the Canadian squad reacting to Soto's signature move.
While it wasn't caught on the ESPN broadcast, announcers said that Soto turned and gave Team Canada a head nod and a wave as he ran down the first-base line after working the free pass.
Canada was eliminated from the tournament with an 8-0 loss to Mexico earlier in the day, but that didn't dampen their moods as they got to rub shoulders with some of MLB's best to end the night.
