With baseball officially on the horizon, the Toronto Blue Jays’ 2025 spring training workout dates have been set.
The Blue Jays will open camp with pitchers and catchers reporting on Feb. 13th, while the full roster will clock in on Feb. 18th.
This season’s first full-team workout bears more weight than the usual start of training camp.
Franchise cornerstone Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has made it clear he will not negotiate a new contract beyond the start of their first full-squad workout — officially setting a deadline on the Blue Jays front office to get a deal done.
The two sides have recently settled on a salary of $28.5 million to avoid arbitration, but have yet to sign him to a long-term extension and risk losing him as an unrestricted free agent at season's end.
Their first spring training matchup is set with the New York Yankees on the afternoon of Feb. 22nd.
Most of the league will follow suit on the above dates for roster reporting; however, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs will begin a few days earlier, on Feb. 11 and Feb. 12, respectively.
The two sides will be busy preparing for the MLB World Tour in Tokyo, which will begin on March 15th.
