The Minnesota Twins have claimed outfielder Jordan Luplow after he was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays.
The Blue Jays had acquired Luplow off waivers from the Atlanta Braves on April 5. The 29-year-old slashed .214/.353/.567 with a single RBI over seven appearances with the Blue Jays.
The team designated Luplow for assignment on Tuesday to make room on the 40-man roster after acquiring shortstop Paul DeJong at the trade deadline.
Right-handed pitcher Mitch White, who was designated for assignment to make room for the newly acquired Jordan Hicks, cleared waivers and has been assigned to Triple-A Buffalo.
