The Toronto Blue Jays‘ latest trade pickup, right-hander Adam Cimber, has reported to the team and will be active for Wednesday’s game against the Seattle Mariners.
Left-hander Steven Matz has also been reinstated from the the COVID-related injured list and will start against the Mariners.

In other corresponding moves, right-handers Anthony Castro and Joel Payamps have been optioned to triple-A Buffalo, while righty Jeremy Beasley has been designated for assignment.
Cimber, along with slugger Corey Dickerson, was traded to the Blue Jays from the Miami Marlins on Tuesday in exchange for utilityman Joe Panik and prospect right-hander Andrew McInvale. So far this season, Cimber has a 1-2 record with a 2.88 ERA and 1.19 WHIP.
Matz has a 7-3 record so far during his first campaign with Toronto. The 30-year-old also has a 4.26 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 75 strikeouts in 13 games.
