Blue Jays vs. Red Sox postponed due to rain

The Toronto Blue Jays will have to wait another day to try and get a win streak going.

Their game on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox was officially postponed due to rain.

The two sides will resume on August 26 at 2:05 p.m. as a split doubleheader from the point at which the game was suspended.

The game entered a rain delay at the top of the second inning. The Blue Jays had one out, Davis Schneider on first base and Danny Jansen at the plate when the delay was called. There was no score.

The Blue Jays were looking to end their road trip with a series win before heading back to Rogers Centre to take on the New York Yankees on Thursday. Tuesday’s 9-4 win over the Red Sox halted a seven-game losing streak that saw back-to-back series sweeps.
