MLB announces wild-card schedule: Blue Jays and Twins play mid-afternoon

The MLB has announced the schedule for all four best-of-three wild-card series, taking place between Oct. 3 and Oct. 5.

The Toronto Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins will clash at 4:38 p.m. ET / 1:38 p.m. PT in Games 1 and 2 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Game 3 will start at that time, unless either the Texas RangersTampa Bay Rays or the Philadelphia PhilliesMiami Marlins series end after two games. In those scenarios, Game 3 between the Jays and Twins will start at 3:08 p.m. ET / 12:08 p.m. PT on Thursday.

The winner of that series will go on to face the Houston Astros, who clinched the AL West title on Sunday, in the ALDS.
