MLB’s first expanded playoff bracket finalized after Tuesday’s results

The MLB playoff bracket is now fully complete as the wild-card matchups were set following Tuesday’s games.

The Seattle Mariners beat the Detroit Tigers in Game 1 of their doubleheader and the Tampa Bay Rays lost to the Boston Red Sox, thus clinching the number five and six seed, respectively, in the American League.

The San Diego Padres beat the San Francisco Giants to officially clinch the number five seed ahead of the Philadelphia Phillies in the National League.
