With a big lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Minnesota Twins lost their star shortstop.
Carlos Correa left the game after being hit by a pitch from Bryce Jarvis in the top of the seventh. He held up his arm and was shaking his head as he went directly to the locker room.
Minnesota announced shortly after Correa left that X-rays came back negative for a forearm fracture and that he will be considered day-to-day.
The 29-year-old was 1-for-2 with two walks in the game before leaving.
Correa has been having an excellent year for the Twins, staying healthy and slashing .306/.370/.491 entering Thursday’s game.
Minnesota currently sits second in the AL Central with a 44-36 record.
