Twitterverse reacts to Cabrera’s controversial intentional walk vs. Yankees

Check this out, as Yankees manager Aaron Boone chooses to walk Miguel Cabrera, to keep him at 2,999 hits for his career, and Tigers fans let him know how they feel. To make matters worse, Auston Meadows makes them pay with a 2-run double.

The milestones continue to add up for Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera, with the next one he’s about to reach is his 3,000th hit – currently sitting just one away at 2,999.

As Cabrera took the plate four times against the New York Yankees on Thursday afternoon, with his first three at-bats resulting in a fly out and two strikeouts, his fourth time at the plate he was intentionally walked in the eight inning, much to the dismay of many fans.

While the Tigers went on to win the game 3-0 as the walk meant the bases were loaded, many took to Twitter to share their thoughts about Aaron Boone’s choice to intentionally walk Cabrera.

Despite not hitting the 3,000 milestone due to the Yankees management’s choices, Cabrera still took partial blame as he didn’t come out with a hit in his three at-bats.
