Yankees’ Boone, Blue Jays’ Walker exchange words from respective dugouts

Once again, Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees coaches found themselves in a dispute in the series finale on Thursday.

The Yankees’ YES Network broadcast of the game caught Yankees manager Aaron Boone, in his dugout, yelling across the field at Blue Jays pitching coach Pete Walker in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Boone is seen pointing at Walker before the Blue Jays coach waves his hand.

The series has featured plenty of animosity, which all started when Sportsnet cameras caught Aaron Judge making sideway glances during an at-bat before hitting a home run in the opener on Monday.

The Blue Jays contacted MLB the next day to voice their concerns about Yankees’ base coaches not standing in the coaches’ boxes, though Judge insisted he was only looking sideway to try to quiet down his teammates after the ejection of Boone.

On Tuesday before the game, Boone said the Yankees had done nothing wrong on Monday. During Tuesday’s game, Walker exchanged words with Yankees third-base coach Luis Rojas when it appeared the latter man was outside the box.

Also in Tuesday’s game, Yankees starter Domingo German was ejected for having a foreign substance on his hand and subsequently given a 10-game suspension and Jays manager John Schneider had words with the Yankees dugout.
