Brendan Loughnane ended up on the right side of a split decision over Kai Kamaka in the featured bout at Friday’s PFL 9 event.

Loughnane advanced to his second PFL featherweight tournament final with the win and improved to 12-2 since signing with the organization in 2019 following a win on Dana White’s Contender Series but one that didn’t earn him a UFC contract.

Loughnane will face 16-0 Timur Khizriev in the finals after Khizriev earned a split decision of his own against Gabriel Braga.

Magomed Umalatov will face Shamil Musaev in the welterweight finals after both earned unanimous decision wins over Neiman Gracie and Murad Ramazanov, respectively.

The first two fights of the prelims ended in finishes before the final seven fights on the card, including all four main card matchups, went the distance.
