The Professional Fighters League announced the full lineup for its upcoming “Battle of the Giants” card that features multiple current and former world champions.
Former undisputed UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou will make his return to mixed martial arts when he takes on current PFL heavyweight champ Renan Ferreira in the main event. They will compete for the organization’s new PFL Super Fights Championship Belt.
Ngannou has not fought in MMA since defeating Ciryl Gane by unanimous decision at UFC 270 in January of 2022. He did go the distance with Tyson Fury, even knocking down the former undisputed boxing champion at one point, before being knocked out by Anthony Joshua in two high-profile boxing matchups.
Cris “Cyborg” will take on two-division PFL titleholder Larissa Pacheco in the co-main event at featherweight. Cyborg is one of the all-time greats in women’s MMA and Pacheco is the only with a win over Kayla Harrison.
A rematch for the Bellator middleweight championship is also on the card as 15-0 Johnny Eblen looks for another win over Fabian Edwards. Eblen finished Edwards by technical knockout in 2023 at Bellator 299 when they first met.
The event is scheduled for Oct. 19 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Below is the full PFL: Battle of the Giants fight card…
