Trending: GSP takes ice bath in Quebec river

Georges St-Pierre (CP)

It’s very common for mixed martial artists to take an ice bath following a rigorous workout. It helps the body recover quicker plus it tests a fighter’s mental fortitude and pain tolerance.

Most professional athletes have taken an ice bath at some point in their career, but UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and several of his training partners haven taken ice baths to the next level, as they took a dip in a Quebec river… in February!

Judging by the enormous chunk of ice GSP and his teammates attempt to move, it’s safe to say the water they’re in is quite chilly.

St-Pierre headlines UFC 158 in his home province on March 16 against Nick Diaz at the Bell Centre in Montreal. If you weren’t excited about this fight yet, watch the video below. It’ll change your mind.
