Deontay Wilder was unable to get back into the win column.
“The Bronze Bomber” was knocked out by Zhilei “Big Bang” Zhang in the fifth round of their heavyweight boxing match Saturday at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Wilder, 38, has now lost four of his past five fights dating back to his pair of stoppage losses to Tyson Fury in 2020 and 2021.
Zhang hurt his opponent with a pair of right hooks from which Wilder was unable to recover.
Zhang, 41, was coming off majority decision loss to Joseph Parker in March.
Wilder is now 43-4-1 after beginning his professional career 40-0 following his Olympic bronze medal showing at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
