It’s the end of an era for the most edu-taining sports duo.
Longtime Sportsnet personality Sid Seixeiro will sign off from Tim & Sid for the final time on Friday. The last episode of Tim & Sid will air Friday on Sportsnet and SN Now beginning at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT.
From tight-fitting bodysuits, to the legendary Seixeiro curse and “gold medal in the face,” Seixeiro and Tim Micallef have been entertaining and educating fans since their early days co-hosting a highlight show on TheScore. The Tim & Sid show then made its debut on Sportsnet 590 The Fan on Dec. 12, 2011 before eventually making the move to television.
Along with providing the latest sports news to Canadians, fan participation and comedic moments were integral to the show throughout the years. There’s nothing like Seixeiro ranting, karate-chopping, dancing or singing “Despacito” to bring laughter and joy to the “Tim and Sidizens”.
Last month, Seixeiro announced that he will be joining Citytv’s Breakfast Television as the morning show’s new co-host beginning March 10. Micallef will continue to deliver the latest sports headlines, hot takes and exclusive interviews on a new show premiering on March 8.
