Canadian women’s rugby team poses nude

The Canadian women’s national rugby squad has discovered an innovative way to earn money for their team and it involves taking their clothes off.

Seventeen women from the national team participated in a 16-month nude calendar that recently went on sale. Part of the proceeds will go towards the national program as well as a charity dedicated to empowering young women to be active and healthy.

In addition to raising money, the goal of the calendar is to showcase the lean, muscular bodies of the athletes and promote positive body images to girls, showing the results of hard work and a healthy lifestyle.

The team has put out several similar calendars dating back to 2004.

The women’s team is currently preparing for World Cup and Olympic qualifiers. The sport will make its Olympic debut in Rio de Janiero in 2016.
