The Super Bowl is the commonly referred as the biggest annual event on the sporting calendar.
Hulk Hogan thinks otherwise.
Appearing on Dean Blundell & Co., on Sportsnet 590 The Fan Tuesday, the WWE legend explained why he believes Wrestlemania has surpassed the Super Bowl.

“People don’t realize that every single week, people are watching in every foreign country. It’s not like once a year like the Super Bowl. Wrestlemania is the crescendo. I never would’ve dreamed back in the day when (Vince McMahon) put in everything he had to make the first one, that it would turn into this.
“It’s become a juggernaut (and) an international phenom,” Hogan said. “Wrestlemania is bigger than the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl is their Wrestlemania. It’s so big now.”
The 61-year-old Hogan said his most memorable Wrestlemania experience took place in Toronto, which has played host twice to the event.
“My favourite match of all-time had to be Wrestlemania 18 at the (Rogers Centre) against The Rock,” he explained. “I was the ultimate bad guy at that point. I did every evil thing you could possibly do. When I went out into the ring and the pythons hit the ring brother, they booed The Rock out of the building.”
Wrestlemania 31, which took place at Levi’s Stadium this past Sunday in Santa Clara, Calif., was reportedly the highest grossing live event in WWE history. The attendance was 76,976.
