File this one under fascinating sports records.
Joe Ayoob, an arena football quarterback, has set a world record for the longest paper airplane throw of all-time.
Ayoob threw a paper airplane 226 feet, 10 inches that, once verified by Guinness, will break the old record by 19 feet, 6 inches.
The plane was designed by John Collins, who is known as “The Paper Airplane Guy.”
Ayoob currently plays for the Tri-Cities Fever of af2, a development league for the Arena Football League.
The 27-year-old played college football at California, succeeding Aaron Rodgers and competing alongside future NFL stars DeSean Jackson and Marshawn Lynch.
