UFC Live: Struve vs. Miocic weigh-ins results

UFC Live: Struve vs. Miocic headliners Stefan Struve and Stipe Miocic are set for their heavyweight battle but not every fighter made weight.

Prior to Struve weighing in at 251 pounds and his opponent Miocic stepping on the sale at 239 pounds, Damarques Johnson — who welcomes Gunnar Nelson to the UFC in preliminary action — missed weight by eight pounds.

Watch UFC Live: Struve vs. Miocic on all Sportsnet regional channels Saturday at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT. Also, watch the preliminary fights on sportsnet.ca starting at 1:45 p.m. ET / 10:45 a.m. PT.

The two were scheduled to fight at a catchweight of 175 pounds, but Johnson, who replaced Pascal Krauss on short notice, came in at 183 pounds. Nelson, who weighed an even 175 pounds, agreed to fight at a new catchweight of 183 pounds. Johnson will be fined a percentage of his purse for missing weight. Both men normally fight in the 170-pound welterweight division.

Every other fighter at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, England, where Saturday’s event will take place, made weight on their first attempt. Light-heavyweight Kyle Kingsbury had a large mark on his left shoulder after getting in a motorcycle accident three weeks ago.

There are 10 British fighters competing on this card and one Canadian — Montreal’s Yves Jabouin who weighed in at 136 pounds for his bantamweight bout with Brad Pickett.
