Canada shuts out Russia at sledge hockey challenge

LEDUC, Alta. — Corbin Watson stopped all 17 shots he faced as Canada beat Russia 2-0 on Monday night at the World Sledge Hockey Challenge.

Captain Greg Westlake opened the scoring for the Canadians (2-0) in the second period. Marc Dorion added an insurance goal at 11:49 of the third.

Vladimir Kamantsev turned aside 23 shots in net for Russia (0-2).

Canada had no power plays, while the Russians failed to convert on two chances.
