Raceline Radio Weekend Wrap-Up, and Show Guest Schedule
Compiled By Erik Tomas, The Raceline Radio Network. Week Of: June 13th 2021
“All schedule dates subject to change: Covid 19 Pandemic”
NTT IndyCar Series:
Last Races: Saturday June 12th and Sunday 13th: Twin Races, IndyCar Duel in Detroit, Belle Isles.
Race # 1: Lots of drama! A one-hour red flag when Felix Rosenqvist smacked the turn 6 wall head-on on lap 28. It wasn’t a hung throttle and they don’t want to tell us what broke. Felix hospitalized then released. No injuries. Back to the race: Late drama when Will Power was on his way until 5 laps to go when Romain Grosjean banged the wall. Another red flag for some reason and the built up heat fried the Electronic Control Unit and Power’s engine would not re-fire. Handed the win to Marcus Ericsson, his first in the series. Bad day for the Canadians. Hinchcliffe 17th, Kellett 18th.
Race # 2: Pato O’Ward pounced on Josef Newgarden, his rear tires done with only 3 to go to take over the lead for his 2nd win of the year to take over the points lead. Pato the first repeat IndyCar winner this season. Not much improvement in race-two for the Canucks: Hinchcliffe 14th, Kellett: 23rd.
Next Race: Sunday June 20th: Road America, Elkhart Lake Wisconsin.

Last Race: Sunday June 6th: Baku, Azerbaijan: Sergio Perez wins for Red Bull. Sebastian Vettel 2nd, his first podium for Aston Martin, Pierre Gasly 3rd for Alfa Tauri. Canada’s Nick Latifi finished 13th but was slapped with a 10 second penalty for not coming to the pit lane right away during the late-race-red, scored 16th. Not his fault. His Williams team told him to stay out for some reason.
F-1 Points: With both Verstappen and Hamilton scoring DNF’s, Verstappen still leads Hamilton by 4 in Drivers, Red Bull’s lead over Mercedes in Constructors now 26 points thanks to the Perez win into the French GP at Paul Ricard June 27th.
