The 2022 NBA trade deadline is here, with blockbusters and peripheral moves alike taking place.
In case you missed any of the madness unfolding in real-time, Sportsnet has collected every transaction from the week to keep you up-to-date.
Boston Celtics receive: Daniel Theis.
Houston Rockets receive: Dennis Schroder, Enes Freedom and Bruno Fernando.
Originally packaged to Houston in the deal, the Rockets have reportedly waived Freedom after the trade.
Dallas Mavericks receive: Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.
Washington Wizards receive: Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick.
Porzingis is averaging 19.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season for Dallas, while Dinwiddie is averaging 12.6 points and 5.8 assists per game and will add to the Mavericks’ guard depth. As for the Wizards, Porzingis will look to become their starting center as they fight for a final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.
Phoenix Suns receive: Aaron Holiday.
Washington Wizards receive: Cash.
As the Wizards continue to make moves at the deadline, they have moved Aaron Holiday to the Phoenix Suns. Holiday is averaging 6.1 points in 16.2 minutes this season.
Charlotte Hornets receive: Montrezl Harrell.
Washington Wizards receive: Vernon Carey and Ish Smith.
Harrell is averaging 14.1 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in 24.3 minutes of action this season, while the duo of Carey and Smith came off the bench for Charlotte with Smith contributing heavily at times including a 22-point performance against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Phoenix Suns receive: Torrey Craig.
Indiana Pacers receive: Jalen Smith and a future second-round pick.
As the Pacers continue to go full force into their rebuild, they pick up former 10th overall pick Smith from the Suns, who is averaging 4.1 points and 3.1 rebounds in 9.6 minutes of action, but has shown major potential with more playing time including 10-point, four-rebound performance in 15 minutes against the Timberwolves.
Craig returns to the Suns where he briefly played in 2020-2021 averaging 7.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in 32 games.
Boston Celtics receive: Derrick White.
San Antonio Spurs receive: Josh Richardson.
The Boston Celtics are trading guard Richardson to the San Antonio Spurs after Richardson had an impressive showing for the Celtics through the end of January and beginning of February including a 23-point performance against the Charlotte Hornets.
White is coming off a similar trajectory, scoring less than 10 points only once since Dec. 27 including 17 points in his latest showing against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Philadelphia 76ers receive: James Harden and Paul Millsap.
Brooklyn Nets receive: Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two first-round picks.
After the “Big Three” experiment of James Harden, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant failed to materialize in the Empire State, both sides of the deal are trading players unhappy in their current situation, as Ben Simmons has been looking to leave Philadelphia after asking for a trade. Ultimately Simmons returned to Philadelphia in October, but was kicked out of practice and suspended for a game. Simmons did not appear in any games for the 76ers this season.
Boston Celtics receive: Future second-round pick.
Orlando Magic receive: Bol Bol, PJ Dozier, a future second-round pick and cash.
With Dozier and Bol both out for the season, the Celtics look to save costs by moving the players to Orlando. Both were traded to Boston from the Denver Nuggets in a three-team deal that sent Juancho Hernangomez to the San Antonio Spurs.
Toronto Raptors receive: Thad Young, Drew Eubanks and a 2022 second-round pick via Detroit.
San Antonio Spurs receive: Goran Dragic and a protected 2022 first-round pick.
After Goran Dragic stepped away from the Raptors indefinitely due to personal reasons, Toronto has traded him and a protected pick (1-14 in 2022; 1-13 in 2023 or two seconds beyond that). Dragic appeared in just five games for the Raptors in 2021 and has not played since Nov. 13.
Thad Young is averaging 6.1 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 14.2 minutes of action this season for the Spurs.
Drew Eubanks has reportedly been waived by the Raptors after the trade.
Detroit Pistons receive: Marvin Bagley III.
Los Angeles Clippers receive: Rodney Hood and Semi Ojele.
Sacramento Kings receive: Donte DiVencenzo, Josh Jackson and Trey Lyles.
Milwaukee Bucks receive: Serge Ibaka, two future second-round picks and cash.
In the biggest blockbuster of the trade deadline yet, the Sacramento Kings continue to move out some of their starters moving Bagley to Detroit. The Clippers move Ibaka, a free agent they signed in 2020 who had played alongside Kawhi Leonard to win an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors.
The Bucks previously tried to trade DiVencenzo to the Kings in exchange for Bogdan Bogdanovic but the trade was squashed due to reports of tampering. Along with newly acquired Justin Holiday as a wing option for the kings, DiVencenzo is averaging 7.2 points and 3.5 rebounds in 20.1 minutes of action.
Rodney Hood signed a one-year deal with Milwaukee after being released by the Toronto Raptors, the team which he was traded to along with Gary Trent Jr. by the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Norman Powell.
Miami Heat receive: A 2026 second-round pick.
Oklahoma City Thunder receive: KZ Okpala.
A second-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, Okpala has appeared in 63 games in his career for the Heat. Currently, he is averaging 3.7 points and two rebounds per game shooting 43.5 per cent through 21 games season.
For Miami, the pick will come from either Oklahoma City, Dallas or Philadelphia, all of which are owed to the Thunder.
Portland Trail Blazers receive: Joe Ingles, Elijah Hughes and a second-round pick.
San Antonio Spurs receive: Tomas Satoransky and a 2027 second-round pick.
Utah Jazz receive: Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Juancho Hernangomez.
Alexander-Walker and Satoransky’s time in Portland didn’t last long as the two were dealt out by the Blazers in a three-team trade.
The Blazers added a veteran piece in Ingles, who tore his ACL last month after playing 45 games this season, averaging 7.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists.
Sacramento Kings receive: Domantas Sabonis, Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday and a protected 2023 second-round pick.
Indiana Pacers receive: Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson.
With the Kings hoping to build around De’Aaron Fox, they add a two-time All-Star in Sabonis and hope to get back to the playoffs, which they have not reached in 16 years.
As for the Pacers, the trade gives Myles Turner the opportunity to be the long-term center option, adding backcourt depth with Haliburton and Hield.
In his debut with the Kings, Sabonis recorded a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds as Sacramento beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 132-119.
Portland Trail Blazers receive: Josh Hart, Tomas Satoransky, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Didi Louzada, a protected 2022 first-round pick and two future second-round picks.
New Orleans Pelicans receive: CJ McCollum, Larry Nance Jr., and Tony Snell.
The end of the Lillard-McCollum backcourt era has come as the Portland Trail Blazers have sent the 30-year-old to New Orleans. The Blazers have reached the playoffs every year since drafting McCollum, though they have only reached the Western Conference Final once, in 2019.
With Zion Williamson still out for the Pelicans, McCollum gives them an outside shooting threat as they sit 10th in the Western Conference, in position for a play-in spot for the playoffs.
Josh Hart, the centrepiece from the Pelicans side of the deal, is averaging 13.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game this season. McCollum is averaging 20.5 points and 4.5 assists per game.
Cleveland Cavaliers receive: Caris LeVert and a 2022 second-round pick.
Indiana Pacers receive: Ricky Rubio, a protected 2022 first-round draft pick, and two 2022 second-round picks via Houston and Utah.
One of the first of the deadline moves by the Pacers came from moving LeVert to Cleveland, who averaged 18.7 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 39 games played for the Pacers this season.
In his debut with the Cavs, LeVert tallied 11 points in 28 minutes of action in a 105-92 win over the San Antonio Spurs.
