76ers' Joel Embiid returns to starting lineup for Game 1 vs. Hawks

Philadelphia 76ers centre Joel Embiid was forced out of Game 4 against the Washington Wizards following a scary fall in the first quarter.

The Philadelphia 76ers will have their star forward back for Game 1 of the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

Joel Embiid will return to the Sixers lineup as a starter for the Eastern Conference Semifinal matchup against the Atlanta Hawks after missing time with an injured right knee.

Embiid exited Game 4 of the Sixers' first-round playoff matchup against the Washington Wizards with a small lateral meniscus tear in his right knee. He missed the series-clinching Game 5 of that series and remained day-to-day until Sunday.

The All-Star averaged 29.3 points and seven rebounds through the first three games of the playoffs, including three steals in his team's Game 3 win over Washington.
