The Toronto Raptors will remain undermanned against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday as they'll be without RJ Barrett and may not have Immanuel Quickley or Jakob Poeltl available either.
In the latest injury report, the Raptors listed Quickley as doubtful and Poeltl as questionable for the game.
If the trio of starters can't go, it would be the second consecutive game all three were unavailable as the Raptors continue a six-game road trip.
Barrett has been ruled out for his second consecutive game with left knee swelling. Quickley is listed as doubtful due to a right quad contusion, and if he does sit out, it'll be three straight inactives for the starting point guard.
Poeltl has been out since Jan. 9 due to an ankle sprain, and despite ramping up his practice stints recently, is still listed as questionable ahead of taking on the Bulls. The Austrian has missed 10 games in a row already, and the Raptors have been 1-9 during that span.
In Toronto's most recent loss on Sunday to the Atlanta Hawks, the opposing centre Clint Capela had himself a productive game with 19 points and 14 rebounds (six offensive). It was the latest example of a forward causing problems for the Raptors during Poeltl's injury stint.
The lack of Poeltl in the lineup has clearly impacted Toronto's defence as they've had a defensive rating of 122.9 over his absence, ranked 27th in the NBA.
When the Raptors took on the Bulls on Jan. 19, Chicago held on for a 116-110 victory, and a major reason why was the play of Nikola Vucevic. The starting centre finished with 24 points, 14 rebounds (five offensive), and seven assists.
That loss was the first of a five-game skid, and if Toronto is going to snap the losing streak they might still not have Poeltl available to contain Vucevic.
