Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard will leave the NBA’s Orlando bubble on Thursday and return to Portland for further examination of his injured right knee.
The Blazers said his availability to return has yet to be determined.
Game 5 of the Blazers’ first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers was postponed Wednesday, as the NBA cancelled its slate of games amid a player-led boycott in the wake of the weekend shooting of Jacob Blake at the hands of police in Wisconsin.
Lillard, who was expected to miss Game 5 with the knee sprain regardless, appeared to suffer the injury in Game 4 after his knee buckled while on a drive to the basket.
