Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is planning to play in Game 4 against the Miami Heat on Sunday despite a right ankle sprain, according to the team.
The reigning MVP rolled his ankle during the first quarter of a pivotal Game 3 on Friday, but he was available to play throughout the remainder of the contest and did so. He only logged 35 total minutes, however, a trend that has not been unusual with head coach Mike Budenholzer at the helm.
Milwaukee lost that game 115–100, and now trail the Heat 3–0 in the series.
Afterwards, Antetokounmpo told reporters that he felt fine, but the Associated Press‘ Tim Reynolds did note that the 25-year-old was seen on Saturday with a “very noticeable limp.”
Antetokounmpo is averaging 22.7 points, 13.3 rebounds, and seven assists on 45.1 per cent shooting from the field in 35.7 minutes through his last three games.
Game 4 tips off at 3:30 p.m. ET.
