Jimmy Butler, the Miami Heat's top scorer this season, will not play on Tuesday against the Toronto Raptors because of neck soreness.
The six-time NBA all-star is averaging 22.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.1 assists this season.
Meanwhile, former Raptors star Kyle Lowry is expected to play for Miami as he continues to battle a knee injury.
Lowry told reporters earlier he is on a minutes restriction and is not eligible to play back-to-back games.
The Heat (40-35) are tied with the Brooklyn Nets for the sixth and final direct playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Teams that finish seventh through 10th will be in the play-in tournament.
The Raptors (37-38) are tied for eighth.
Gary Trent Jr. (right elbow stiffness) is out for Toronto.
