Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Ricky Rubio has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee, the team announced Wednesday.
Rubio left Tuesday’s contest against the New Orleans Pelicans late in the fourth quarter after suffering an apparent knee injury.
The 31-year-old averaged 13.1 points, 6.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 34 games played this season.
The Cavaliers (20-14) currently sit in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
