Celtics' Porzingis downgraded to out vs. Raptors with 'non-COVID illness'

Kristaps Porzingis was a late addition to the Boston Celtics' injury report, again.

The former NBA All-Star was ruled out with a 'non-COVID illness' after the game had already tipped off against the Toronto Raptors, the team announced.

Porzingis has been scratched twice lately with an illness, the first coming on Jan. 22 and the most recent coming Feb. 8, the Celtics won both of those contests.

The 29-year-old put up 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists in Boston's 118-105 victory over the New York Knicks on Sunday.

Porzingis is averaging 19.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game with the Celtics, as they currently sit second in the Eastern Conference.

Boston is 9-1 in their last ten games, and will round out a quick two-game road trip against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
