The Boston Celtics will need to cross their fingers after star centre Kristaps Porzingis injured his ankle on Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Porzingis didn't come out for the second half because of left ankle soreness.
He appeared to slip while handling the ball early in the first quarter and came up limping. The Latvian stayed in the game and finished the first half with nine points in 13 minutes.
After the game, Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said he had no further update on Porzingis.
Jay King of The Athletic reported Porzingis left the locker room without a visible brace.
The seven-foot-two Porzingis had surgery on his left foot last summer.
Porzingis came into Wednesday's game averaging 19.2 points and 6.8 rebounds this season.
The Celtics acquired Porzingis from the Washington Wizards in a deal last summer and went on to win the NBA title.
