Clippers' George to play vs. Raptors with minutes restriction

Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George will play Friday night against the Toronto Raptors, but with restrictions on his minutes, head coach Tyronn Lue told reporters.

He was previously listed as questionable.

George was not on the initial injury list earlier this week, though there was concern about the Clippers star dealing with a nagging groin issue. Los Angeles head coach Tyrone Lue said the eight-time NBA All-Star played through the injury in Tuesday's win against the Lakers, and was ultimately given a late injury designation after shoot around took place on Friday in Toronto.

The 33-year-old has missed just two games this season for Los Angeles, and is averaging 23.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists on 46.8 per cent from two, while hitting 41.9 per cent of his threes.

The Clippers have also ruled out Ivica Zubac for the fifth straight game, who is dealing with a right calf strain, as well as Moussa Diabate who is dealing with a hip injury.

On the flip side, the Raptors have ruled out guard Immanuel Quickley with a thigh contusion, along with Jakob Poeltl.
