Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard will be back in the starting lineup on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons, head coach Tyronn Lue announced.
The two-time Finals MVP has missed 12 straight games with stiffness in his surgically repaired right knee.
After missing the entire 2021-22 season, Leonard appeared in two of the Clippers' first three games this year, coming off the bench both times.
In those two games, the five-time all-star averaged 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals on 44.4 per cent shooting.
The Clippers hold an 8-7 record and sit ninth in the Western Conference heading into Thursday night's game.
