Come for the big names, stay for the buckets — this year's NBA Celebrity All-Star Game was studded with as many highlights as stars.
The two teams, captained by Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith and Hall of Fame finalist Dwyane Wade respectively, battled to the end with what was likely the craziest, most improbable Celebrity All-Star finish of all time. Watch for yourself:
Down by five with less than two seconds left in the game and Team Dwyane inbounding, Team Ryan got the steal and scored a quick layup. On the ensuing inbounds pass, WWE Superstar The Miz intercepted the ball at half-court and swished what would have been the game-winning four-pointer, had he not released it a millisecond too late.
After Team Dwyane's nail-biting win, DK Metcalf was awarded the game's MVP. Metcalf, a wide receiver with the NFL's Seattle Seahawks, dunked all over everybody en route to a stat line of 20 points, 10 rebounds, and four blocks.
With Ben Affleck on intro duties, celebrities like 21 Savage, Janelle Monáe, Simu Liu, Diamond DeShields, Hasan Minhaj, Cordae, Albert Pujols, Calvin Johnson, and Jimmy Kimmel correspondent Guillermo Rodriguez were welcomed to the floor at the Huntsman Center on the campus of the University of Utah.
Liu splashed from the four-point Ruffles Zone, Guillermo got a wedgie, Richard Jefferson came out of retirement (as a ref at first), and much more happened in this spectacle of a game:
