The Miami Heat have ruled out point guard Tyler Herro for Game 4 against the Boston Celtics after he sustained a groin injury in Game 3, the team announced Monday.
Prior to departing Game 3 in the fourth quarter, Herro appeared to struggle and put up just eight points on 4-of-15 shooting in 20 minutes of action. He is expected to be available for Game 5 on Wednesday.
In promising news for the Heat, both Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler are expected to return to the lineup for Game 4. Butler exited Game 3 ahead of the third quarter due to inflammation in his right knee, while Lowry has been struggling with a nagging hamstring injury throughout the playoffs.
Also expected to return for the Heat are Mark Strus, Game Vincent, and P.J Tucker.
