After the game, head coach Erik Spoelstra said: “He turned it. … He says he’s fine.”
The play occurred in the third quarter when Butler appeared to tweak his ankle while dribbling towards Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson. Butler then fell to the floor and could not put any weight on his foot as he was helped off the court.
The 32-year-old missed one game last week with an injury to the same ankle, and also just recently came back from an eight-game absence due to an injured tailbone.
In 22 games played this season, he’s averaging 23.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 5.5 assists while shooting 50 per cent from the field for the 23-14 Heat.
