Miami Heat point guard Kyle Lowry left Game 3 against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night with a leg injury and did not return, the Heat announced.
Lowry exited the game in the third quarter with six points, four rebounds and five assists. When or how the injury occurred is not clear, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said post-game that Lowry has a hamstring issue, the severity of which is not yet known. Lowry will undergo tests on Saturday.
According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Lowry said after the game that his issue has him "pissed" but he plans to get round-the-clock treatment ahead of Game 4. Lowry also denied that he would miss time.
The 36-year-old averaged 13.4 points and 7.5 assists in 63 games with Miami this season.
The Heat lost Game 3 but lead their first-round series against the Hawks 2-1. Game 4 takes place on Sunday.
