Tensions boiled over in a big way between the Miami Heat and the visiting Toronto Raptors as Caleb Martin tackled Raptors rookie Christian Koloko into the second row of seats at FTX Arena. Martin and Koloko were both ejected after the altercation.
After a missed corner three from Pascal Siakam caromed past the basket, Martin and Koloko, the 33rd overall pick in this year's draft, were tied up battling for the rebound.
As an airborne Koloko got his hands on the ball, Martin appeared to try to trip him, with Koloko ending up on the floor.
Koloko took exception, standing up quickly and getting in Martin's personal space. Martin then proceeded to lower his shoulder and form tackle Koloko into the Miami faithful.
Both benches largely cleared to help break the scuffle up.
Miami had lost their first two at home, but ultimately won their first of the season 112-109.
