Toronto Raptors rookie Scottie Barnes is doubtful for Game 4 of the team's playoff series against the visiting Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday as he continues to recover from an ankle injury, coach Nick Nurse said Friday.
Barnes suffered the injury in Game 1. He was on pace for a triple double, with 15 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists when Sixers centre Joel Embiid stepped on his ankle, sending him crashing to the floor in agony with about nine minutes to play.
While he was wearing a walking boot two days after the injury, Barnes has been without it since then.
With the Raptors trailing the series 3-0, Barnes' presence would be a huge boost for Toronto.
Barnes, who averaged 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game in the regular season, can play virtually every position.
