Gotham may have to get through the night without its superhero.
Jalen Brunson exited Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday with a sore right foot and was downgraded to questionable, per the New York Knicks.
It's unclear when the injury was sustained in the first quarter as the first-time All-Star had two separate instances where it might've happened.
Brunson collided with Indiana's Andrew Nembhard midway through the frame and it appeared to result in some discomfort but he remained in the game.
Minutes later Brunson was seen limping following a closeout attempt and it was after that sequence the 27-year-old exited the game and did not return for the rest of the first half.
Thankfully for Knicks fans, their star point guard returned to the game after halftime and gave it a go.
Brunson had been on a torrid pace lately, scoring over 40 points in four consecutive games. Throughout the postseason he's been averaging 36.6 points, 4.7 rebounds and 8.6 assists as he got New York to the second round and a 1-0 lead over Indiana.
His status throughout Game 2 and beyond will be worth monitoring.
