Kyle Lowry offered his support to Pascal Siakam amid his former teammate being named in trade rumours to the Indiana Pacers.
The former Raptor, who won the NBA championship alongside Siakam in 2019, spoke to the media ahead of Wednesday night's game between the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors.
"Pascal's one of the ultimate professional athletes there is. I think he's going to continue to do his job at a high level no matter what. I don't have advice for him but I know he's going to go out there and play his game and control what he can control," Lowry said.
The point guard further shared that he thinks Siakam is a "talented" player who will be "successful" no matter what happens.
"Pascal, my beloved one, is one of the most coveted players in our league, one of the most talented players in our league. Whatever happens with him, he will be successful and I'm always going to love him and support him."
On Tuesday night, Shams Charania of The Athletic reported that the Raptors were discussing a Siakham trade with the Pacers.
The deal would see shooting guard Bruce Brown Jr., other contracts and three first-round picks come to Toronto, reported Charania.
The Raptors began to reshape their roster late last month when they traded OG Anunoby, Precious Achiuwa and Malachi Flynn to the New York Knicks for Immanuel Quickley, RJ Barrett and a second-round pick.
Siakam is averaging 22.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.9 assists this year, and is eligible for unrestricted free agency after this season.
