Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis has an MCL sprain in his left knee, the team announced on Saturday.
Davis will miss at least four weeks with the injury.
The 28-year-old exited Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after falling in the third quarter. He walked off the court without assistance, but then collapsed to the ground in the tunnel, grimacing in pain.
Davis underwent an MRI on Saturday as the Lakers flew to Chicago to take on the Bulls Sunday night.
Through 27 games played in the 2021-22 season, Davis is averaging 23.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists.
