It’s hardly a shocker, but LeBron James intends to play in the NBA long enough to suit up next to his son, Bronny.
And wherever it is that Bronny lands after he’s drafted, LeBron made it clear on Saturday that he’ll follow.
“My last year will be played with my son,” James said, according to The Athletic’s Jason Lloyd. “Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”

Bronny, currently a 17-year-old junior in high school, won’t be eligible for the NBA Draft until 2024 under current league rules. That’s unless the league again allows players to jump from high school to the NBA, in which case Bronny could enter the 2023 Draft.
James, meanwhile, is under contract with the Los Angeles Lakers until the end of next season.
The NBA has yet to see a father-son duo. Who knew James was so inspired by Gordie Howe?
